By choosing to opt-in to receive events updates you are consenting to receiving appropriate and useful communications regarding our events and services. This includes, but is not limited to:

You can also stop receiving emails from us using the unsubscribe link options, also generally found in the footer of our emails. Please note, changes to preferences and unsubscribe options will not affect service emails we are obliged to send to you, once you have registered for an event, for instance.
Unsolicited communications
In addition to collecting your data when you complete a registration form for events on our website, we may also collect or receive your personal data direct from you through other means (for example, if you email us to request information on our events) or through our own research and/or from clients who engage us to organise events.

You can stop receiving emails from us using the unsubscribe link option found in the footer of our emails. Please note that unsubscribing will not affect service emails we are obliged to send to you, once you have registered for an event, for instance.
IP address lookup
We receive information about visitors to our websites from third parties. When you visit our website we will record your IP address. This address will be matched against public and proprietary IP address databases to provide us with information about your visit. This information may identify the organisation to whom the IP address is registered but not individuals. In some limited cases, for example, with regards to single person companies, it may be possible to identify the person accessing our website from publicly available ICANN data.

We may disclose your personal data, including special category personal data to other parties. Such parties may include companies that process data in and/or are incorporated in territories outside of the EEA and which do not provide the same level of protection to personal data as countries subject to the GDPR (“international processor”).

We may transfer your personal data to companies within our group of companies for the legitimate interests of everyday business operations, including the communication between employees within our group of companies in connection with the organisation of events.

If you choose to share your personal information with other event attendees (sponsors, exhibitors, delegates, visitors) at one of our events, you agree that your personal information will be shared with third parties and is therefore out of our control. This applies to personal data you choose to share with other companies and attendees, through badge scanning and business card exchanges for example.
Retaining your personal data
We will not keep your personal data for any longer than required for the purposes for which it is collected, unless there is a legal obligation on us to keep it for a longer period. When it is no longer required your personal data will be deleted.
If you are successful in a job application with us, we will process your personal data in accordance with our staff privacy policy which will be provided to you.
